A radio broadcaster was shot dead in the southern Philippines Monday shortly before he was due to begin his daily talk show, police said.
Ernie Rullen, 58, was waiting for a minibus to take him to work in Ozamiz City on the southern island of Mindanao when two unidentified gunmen on a motor bike shot him at point-blank range.
Joy Reyes of Radio DXSY in Ozamiz City told local media that police were investigating the shooting.
"Rullen had parked his motorcycle and was walking to the bus stop when he was gunned down," Reyes said.
Reyes said the motive for the shooting was not known but could be related to Rullen's morning talk show on Radio DXSY, which Rullen had hosted for the past eight years and which discussed corruption and crime.
Rullen is the second journalist shot dead in the Philippines this year. In January, Badroddin Abbas, a part-time radio broadcaster and Muslim peace activist, was killed in an ambush in southern Cotabato City.
Rullen is the 64th journalist killed since President Gloria Arroyo came to power in 2001, according to the National Union of Journalists of the Philippines.
The Paris-based Reporters Without Borders and the New York-based Committee to Protect Journalists rank the country as the second-most dangerous for journalists, after Iraq.

((May 21 09)) A Philipino man used a board with nails driven through in an attempt to murder the correspondent mentioned on this page! Miss Maribel Pacis Langley-Van Keulen was attacked earlier this month, on the early morn of the second of May by a Philipino man! We missed this attempt because the police have tightened their security by visiting this man and did not use cell phones.

From later cell traffic we know that the man was bailed out of jail by a Yugoslavian arms smuggler and dealer who uses the name, "Steve". Or at least one policeman at station four said as much on one of the cell phones he uses!
This" Steve" has already bailed the attempted murderer out of jail and this "Steve" has a contract out as we type these pages to murder Miss Langley!
This "Steve" pays the police, has a valid PNP Captains's I. D., carries a gun, and collects money from business for "the fixing up of station four." Yea, sure, we believe that is where the money goes and we believe in Santa Claus too!
How can an attempted murderer be let out on bail only a few days after attempting to murder a news correspondent who had American and Philipino citizenship!
What kind of man is chief inspector Ronaldo Lorenzo for allowing this to happen and for giving the attempted murderer the VIP treatment? Sounds fishy to us and it is. We got the beef!
Where is the rotten U. S. embassy?

((Jun 10 09)) We do not like going against Mr. Jimmy Dale, but someone sent us an article he wrote about Maribel Langley Van-Keulen. He published his story only from the corrupt murderer chief inspector Ronaldo Lorenzo. He did not publish the story from the side of Miss Maribel Langley Van-Keulen.

The major problem that we see with Mr. Jimmy Dale is he always wants to believe that new commanders of station four will be good commanders. He gives any new commander a big benefit-of-a-doubt and usually trust what the new commanders say, until they prove otherwise.
And how could he possibly publish the truth about Miss Maribel Langley Van-Keulen and the man that tried to murder her? He would be harmed, himself, if he published the truth?
We do not believe he published a lie about her purposely, but he simply took the word of a murderous police major! The eternal optimist, Mr. Dale is, indeed.
The problem is any commander of station four is going to have been a murderer and utterly corrupt before he ever was sent to station four! We are going to give you guys the straight poop on this the week of June 14 09!

Chief inspector Ronaldo Lorenzo lost his cool toward Miss Maribel Langley Van-Keulen after she arrived to check on the man that tried to murder her using a spiked board!
The man was paid to murder her, but she overpowered him and he was jailed! We warned chief inspector Louie Tan and the pedophile Gerald Heinen for months and months on these pages to not harm the "little lady" , instead they did try to murder her! We heard numerous conversations about them wanting to murder her!
Miss Maribel Langley Van-Keulen sat down with her legs crossed and quietly listen to the ravings of chief inspector Ronaldo Lorenzo of station four when he was caught! He had allowed a man that tried to murder Miss Maribel Langley Van-Keulen out of jail!
Chief inspector Ronaldo Lorenzo lost control of his temper, and yelled at her continually. If the man was alone with her on a deserted road he most certainly would have pulled his pistol and murdered her!
In a phone conversation prosecutor Garcia said he was surprised that the man was out of jail! This case against the attempted murderer is not simply just a civil case! If she had been hit in the head or chest she would have been dead today!
We believe the chief inspector Louie Tan forced the squatter to murder her! So the fix is in for the attempted murderer! Louie, you dirty rotten bastard you will be judged more the week of June 14, we promise!
